Almond Tree IV - Grey (Almond Cacti and Braid)
“Towards the end of their season, the Almond petals became more wrinkled up almost like skin they were living in through the end of their cycle before they would fall back onto the earth. The almond nut would be harvested by the locals to be consumed, dried or made into their local produce. It reminded me that there is a moment to hold on to to appreciate the harvest of this tree. The end of the flower cycle symbolizes the same new beginning and circular motions that we would see each other again next season.” Anna Skladmann, Artist
