IKEBANA projects work closely with varied Japanese ikebana masters, artists and craftsmen to create bespoke collaborations in a wide range of fields. Spreading from organizing artist residencies to sculptural commissions, set design to fashion shoots, brand collaborations to private events, corporate to educational initiatives - through Ikebana we bring you one step closer to the unique Japanese aesthetics and way of life.
THE IKERU PROJECT
PARIS DESIGN WEEK 2021
To coincide with Paris Design Week 2021, IKEBANA projects is organizing a series of live Ikebana performances in collaboration with Galerie Mingei and GuRu Craft & Design Fair. For this occasion we are inviting Tokyo-based artist Makiko Morange to create contemporary flower arrangements using ceramics and bamboo baskets from the gallery’s collection - including works from famous Japanese masters Jiro Yonezawa and Hafu Matsumoto.
Join us on Sunday 12th September at Galerie Mingei in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Près at 16:00 for a special Ikebana demonstration by Tokyo-based Ikebana artist Makiko Morange.
